Ahmadenajad is a known populist. And to gain that popularity, the easiest way is to demonise Israel. He is not the first Muslim leader to say that. On the other hand, why would Iran nuke Israel? The country is barely 8000 square miles and nukes would poison a land that is holy to Muslims as well. Anything Iran launches has a good chance of hitting populated areas in Israel due to its small size. If Iran is attacked first, then their only effective way to retaliate is to fire missiles into Israel's populated areas, it's the only strategy to get back. People don't understand the mentality of the Palestinaian suicide bombers. When you face the mighty Israeli Army with their Merkavas, airforce, you have no recourse but to resort to Terror. The Palestinaians have a grivance here. They are being forced to pay for the sins of the Europeans (Nazis) and virtually had their land taken from them and dispossessed, all because of this bulls1t bible that said the land belonged to the Jews? The ironic thing is, most Jews aren't even of ME origin, but of European, African, Arabic and Turkic extraction anyways.  I am not anti-semitic, but Israel is also very much a villain.
