Chang'e 2 was launched on Oct 1, 2010, with a planned mission of 6 months orbiting the moon. After completed its extended mission of one year and four months, it left lunar orbit and fly to the L2 Lagrangian point to test the Chinese tracking and control network. After spending 235 days at L2 point, it has left on Apr 15, 2012 for a mission flying to the asteroid 4179 Toutatis. Can this guy, or gal, be called a moon probe anymore?
