I`m not sure if the footage was real. However, given the fact that our culture does promote such behaviour, I believe it was very real.
Just not too long ago, there was this "Yang ren" (洋人, Westerner) queuing up at the cashier in one of the 7 xxxxxx outlet in my country, he was number 3 in the queue. However, the cashier asked him to come forward to pay first, ignoring two other local people infront of him. This incident did stir up quite a bit.
Before we point our finger outward, we must point it inward first. Our 5000 yrs civilization, Our so called "博大精深" culture, Our "孺家文化". did contribute to a substantiate amount of "Nu Xing 奴性".
Before we can jump out of this "醬缸", we can forget about China Century.
The US and the West will continue to nominate the world for a long long time, at least another 50 to 100 yrs.
My Predator and Prey theory do stand. Just look at the total population and total land and sea area the West occupied compare to the rest. (Predator are fewer in number but big in territory). The former USSR (abt 22 mil sq km) alone was almost 2.5 time of China (abt 9.6 mil sq km) in land area.
